WHO WE ARE

The Comics Advocacy Group is an organization dedicated to making careers in comics more accessible and sustainable. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we aim to address systemic barriers in the comics industry by providing access to educational resources, networking opportunities, and financial support, as well as advocating for fair wages and working practices.

A bunny and a cat and a dog look at comics!

Making comics accessible.

We were founded in 2022 by a group of comics professionals with a wide variety of industry and independent experience. We plan to use our collective knowledge to lay the groundwork for a long-term, sustained effort towards making comics careers viable for more creators.

Supporting Each Other

The Comics Advocacy Group is registered as a 501(c)3, so your donations are tax-deductible! Financial contributions like yours will allow us to:

  • Provide grants to comics creators and editors which will allow them to further their education, work on independent projects, travel to conventions, and more.
  • Produce a robust, free-to-access resource hub for the comics community featuring paid contributions from a wide array of professionals.

Thank you for your support!

Mini Grant Applications are Closed!

Applications for the third CAG Mini Grant are now closed.

The CAG Mini Grant provides small, unrestricted funding to comic creators who are in need of additional resources.

CAG will be distributing twenty $500 mini grants to applicants who are involved in making comics (this includes editors, colorists, and other collaborative roles).

If you applied: please check your email! We have reached out to the awardees and will share their names when they have confirmed acceptance.

We're learning together.
