WHO WE ARE

The Comics Advocacy Group is an organization dedicated to making careers in comics more accessible and sustainable. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we aim to address systemic barriers in the comics industry by providing access to educational resources, networking opportunities, and financial support, as well as advocating for fair wages and working practices.

A bunny and a cat and a dog look at comics!

Making comics accessible.

We were founded in 2022 by a group of comics professionals with a wide variety of industry and independent experience. We plan to use our collective knowledge to lay the groundwork for a long-term, sustained effort towards making comics careers viable for more creators.

Supporting Each Other

The Comics Advocacy Group is registered as a 501(c)3, so your donations are tax-deductible! Financial contributions like yours will allow us to:

  • Provide grants to comics creators and editors which will allow them to further their education, work on independent projects, travel to conventions, and more.
  • Produce a robust, free-to-access resource hub for the comics community featuring paid contributions from a wide array of professionals.

Thank you for your support!

Mini Grant Awardees Announced!

The CAG Mini Grant provides small, unrestricted funding to comic creators who are in need of additional resources. As the cost of food and rent are growing prohibitive, many creators find themselves taking on additional work with time they do not have in order to make ends meet. Our goal in offering this $500 mutual aid grant is to give cartoonists some time and space to work on the projects most important to them.

We are delighted to announce the recipients of the third CAG Mini Grant! Click through to learn more about them.

We're learning together.
